On the 20^th of November 2025 we officially opened our brand-new Waikato Construction and Demolition Resource Recovery Facility—a $16 million investment in the future of the region!

We were honoured to have Waikato Mayor Aksel Bech whom officially opened the facility, unveiling its beautiful, gifted name: Kia Manawa Ora (Gifted by Waahi Whaanui).  (will put the name meaning in the specific site page for the facility and link from news item the new page)

This facility is a game-changer:

• Massive Capacity: Can process up to 150,000 tonnes annually, targeting 75%+ waste diversion from landfill across the Golden Triangle!
• Fully Electric: Powered by 100% certified renewable energy, reducing our environmental footprint.
• Local Impact: We’ve created 12 local jobs, partnered with Waahi Whaanui, and are focused on regional benefits.

Thank you to the Ministry for the Environment for their $4 million support from the Waste Minimisation Fund.

As part of the official opening of Kia Manawa Ora our brand-new Resource Recovery Facility in the mighty Waikato.

We wanted to make sure we thought of the Community.  So instead of event gifts, we donated funds to three amazing local projects.  Guest were given a wood chip as they registered and each wood chip was valued at $100.  The guest then had to choose which of the three local charities got their vote.  The projects being:

Community Zen Gardens (Huntly)

Raahui Pookeka Christmas Festival (Waste Minimisation support)

Te Wharekura O Rakaumanga (Restorative planting along Lake Waahi)
