Open 7 days to both the general public and commercial vehicles, the Drury transfer station is fully automated. No need to book ahead if you are a residential customer. All you need is your credit or EFTPOS card and your waste. Simply touch the screen before the weigh bridge to start the process.

For commercial customers automatic number plate recognition provides access for registered vehicles.

Our weighbridge captures your vehicle’s weight before and after you unload. Waste and recycling, you’re charged for what you leave with us.

DRURY SITE SAFETY

Please follow safety instructions and signage onsite. We strongly recommend wearing sturdy covered shoes and avoiding jandals. No bare feet, please. All persons under the age of 15 years to always remain in vehicles. No pets are allowed outside of vehicles.

 

For Commercial access at Gate B the completion of a site induction is also required this can be done online, with the link available to account holders by contacting our call centre.

Here are the most common questions about using the Tauriko Transfer Station.

Do I need to book a time? There is no need to book, for residential customer access, just drive in during our open hours, all you need is your credit or EFTPOS card.
How do I pay? We accept credit cards and EFTPOS, no cash payments. Our system is fully automated for your convenience, using your credit or EFTPOS card for access. Simply touch the screen to start and the system charges you on the way out.
How is the cost calculated? We weigh your vehicle when you arrive and again when you leave. You only pay for the weight of the waste you drop off. One dimple charge for all materials including Recyclables and Waste. Note there are specific bins for recyclables.
What kind of energy do you use? Our facility is 100% electric, with the electricity supplied by Ecotricity from 100% renewable energy sources, running all our machines and loaders.
Is it fast for businesses? Yes! We use automatic number plate cameras for registered vehicles to get commercial trucks through the automatic weighbridge quickly. Account application is easy, including the ability to do an online induction. Simply contact our call centre on 0800 Gorilla.
