We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Materials Handler/Excavator Operator to join our growing team in Huntly at our newly built Construction & Demolition Waste Resource Recovery Facility. If you are from the surrounding community and you are passionate about making a positive impact on the environment, this could be the role for you.
As part of this team, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, efficient and tidy operation of the site. This is a permanent role operating a fully electric Bonny materials handler including doing daily checks. The main duties will be on-site ensuring the plant operates smoothly while shifting and sorting material with attention to detail. Part of this role will be maintaining the buildings and grounds in a clean and tidy fashion.
Our ideal candidate would have the following:
· Previous Materials Handler/Excavator operator experience
· Previous Operator experience in the waste industry, with wheels and tracks
· A desire to keep yourself and others safe in the workplace
· Self-motivated and works to deadlines
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Computer literate
· Proven problem-solving skills
· A good level of fitness
· Full NZ Class 5 licence will be preferable
