The Official Opening of our Commercial and Industrial Waste Processing Facility

On Wednesday 15th July we hosted Hon Eugenie Sage, Minister of Conservation, Minister of Land Information, and the Associate Minister for the Environment as she officially opened Green Gorilla’s new commercial and industrial waste processing facility. We thank the Ministry of the Environment for their support and enthusiasm for our new line.

The Hon Eugenie Sage also took the opportunity to announce a $124 million investment into recycling infrastructure and a national waste levy scheme expansion.

Our thanks also to the 100 guests who attended and TV1 and the team from The Project who on the same evening featured a great story about the new Green Gorilla line.

Green Gorilla Chief Executive Officer Elaine Morgan says the processing facility is a gamechanger for Auckland’s commercial waste producers and the company is preparing for additional growth from new and existing customers.

“We are offering businesses an alternative to landfill and making it easier for them to achieve their diversion and sustainability goals. Even for those organisations that are already doing a great job with their waste and recycling, we’re giving them the ability to do better and do it easier,”
