Our first EV truck has been a success, so we've recently invested in a 2nd vehicle!
Green Gorilla EV collection trucks are silent and have zero emissions, making them the perfect vehicle for servicing high-density environments like apartment buildings. The electric power train generates much less vibration, heat and noise, creating driver-friendly work conditions and a smoother, smoother, and quiet truck than diesel vehicles.
No fossil fuels or emissions are involved in their day-to-day operations. Like all our electricity at Green Gorilla, it's 100% renewable and carboNZero certified electricity sourced from wind, hydro and solar electricity by the excellent folk at Ecotricity. Green Gorilla operate two EV collection trucks and eight electric sales and operations vehicles. We also have EV charging stations at our operations base in Onehunga to support these vehicles.

EV TECHNOLOGY IN WASTE MANAGEMENT
Green Gorilla EV trucks are designed to operate around apartments and high-density residential environments. In these environments, zero air and low noise pollution are highly appreciated. This amazing machine is essential in the movement of waste around our 100 per cent electric waste processing facility in Onehunga, Auckland. The enormous claws pick up rubbish and recycling and place the material into our processing plant for sorting.
