We are currently looking for a skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team. Using your skills and experience you will be joining our team where you will be responsible for solving maintenance engineering problems. You will need to know how plant and equipment work, how they are designed and constructed, and how they are correctly used. There is no better way to be successful as a Plant Maintenance Engineer than to know why problems arise in the plant and know how to properly solve them. You need sound engineering knowledge in a broad range of disciplines, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, with the work involving checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures. This is a full-time role covering five days a week and may include an extra weekend day. Flexibility in start and finish time may be required.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
- Diagnosing of faults
- Responding to breakdowns
- Assembling and repairing plant and equipment
- Correctly maintaining records
- Creating maintenance procedures
- Complying with all Health and Safety procedures
- Ordering, maintaining and managing stock
Our ideal candidate would have the following:
- Relevant Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven relevant experience in a similar environment/role
- Self-motivated and the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Strong relationship builder and team player
- Confidence to respond well when under pressure
